Vision

The purpose of education is to develop right understanding in every individual. The Universal Human Values (UHV) Cell aims to inspire students and faculty members to develop a holistic perspective of life through self-exploration, enabling them to lead meaningful, responsible, and value-based lives while contributing to a harmonious and sustainable society.

The mission of the cell is to integrate value-based education into the Institute's academic, co-curricular, and administrative activities. To develop and promote an integrated ethical, social, and holistic humane education.

About the UHV Cell

The Universal Human Values (UHV) Cell of Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology (TPGIT), Vellore, was established with the objective of promoting value-based education among students, faculty members, and the institutional community.

The Cell functions in alignment with the vision of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing holistic development and ethical living through higher education.

The UHV Cell strives to nurture responsible, ethical and socially conscious engineers by fostering self-awareness, harmonious relationships, professional ethics and sustainable living practices. Through various academic and co-curricular initiatives, the Cell integrates Universal Human Values into the educational ecosystem of the institute.
